How The Bastille Day Attacks Change Everything

Date published: Monday 18th of July 2016

Hello fellow Insiders.

What a heavy weekend it has been. I don't think I've ever seen such bad news since 911. To me, it looks like the whole world is practically going up in flames.

There's actually too many news stories for me to keep up right now but I thought I should say a few words about the Bastille Day terrorist attacks in Nice.

I think that this particular terrorist attack is a game changer. This time, the targets were not rich capitalist business types (as with 911), it was not people who published insults about the prophet Muhammad (as with Charlie Hebdo). It was not infidel idolaters (as in the case of the Bataclan attacks). It was not homosexuals (as with the Orlando gay nightclub attack). This time, the target was ordinary families - including children - going about their day to day business.

Usually, when there's an Islamic terrorist attack, Twitter goes into meltdown with Muslims and bleeding heart liberal lefties, angrily defending Islam. I kept a close eye on Twitter after the Nice attacks and I was surprised to discover that the usual, angry Islam defenders were remarkably silent. As a matter of fact, the only notable person who seemed eager to drag out the tired old rhetoric of defending Islam was Hillary Clinton who insisted that the attack had nothing to do with Islam.

Does anyone actually believe that?

Is there a single, rational human being left on planet Earth who honestly believes that Islam is a religion of peace?

In any event, the one thing that we can be sure of is that the Islamic terrorists don't appear to be saying a word about geopolitics. As far as I can tell, there's nothing thoughtful or political behind these attacks. It's just one Islamic whackjob after another shouting 'allahu akbar' as they brutally kill unarmed, ordinary people going about their business. The business of life.

Since the Nice attack, the Islamic apologists on Twitter appear to be finally letting go of the absurd argument that 'all religions are the same'. I've also noticed that less and less people are arguing the that this is all to do with the disgraceful foreign policies of Western governments with regards to the Middle East. Now, out of nowhere, the mainstream media has started peddling a new excuse for the terrorists. Apparently, the terrorists are mentally ill. So, what we are expected to believe now is that this has nothing at all to do with Islam and it's just some unfortunate mentally ill people who are carrying out these attacks. It's absolutely ridiculous!

As I was driving to meet a client, on the morning after the attack in France, I tuned into the radio. It was Classic FM and the host came on and very cheerfully said, "It's a beautiful summer's day and I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine." She then proceeded to play her usual selection of tunes and - quite frankly - she seemed as happy as can be. Now, I don't blame her for being like that. Perhaps it's her job. Perhaps she decided that the best way to move forward was to behave as if everything is okay.

Well, everything is NOT okay and personally speaking I cannot sit back and pretend that all is normal with the world. The news right now is dreadful. There are multiple events going on in the world that are literally threatening our civilization. Personally speaking, I think that the time has come for all people of reason to say, 'enough is enough'. I cannot possibly come onto the DCRN and discuss things like web development and internet marketing while decent, innocent people are dying everywhere. I just can't do it. It wouldn't feel right.

So, I've decided that I'm going to soon be putting out my last ever show on the DCRN. This will probably be the last time that you hear me discussing matters to do with web development on a podcast. However, although the DCRN is soon coming to an end I can also tell you that I'm planning on starting a brand new podcast which will be hosted right here on the Insider Club website.

The new Insider Club podcast will be topical. It will be responsive to events that are going on around the world. It will contain information which will help you to survive and thrive in theses very uncertain times. It is my opinion that the education system, the capitalist system, and even the environment are on the verge of collapse. Now, I do not want to be a doom and gloomer like Alex Jones, or a conspiracy nut like David Icke. What I'm hoping to bring to the table, however, is practical, useful advice which will help listeners to enjoy a good life and stay safe, even in these very challenging times that we face.

I'll email you to let you know when that's happening. In the meantime, may you have a great and peaceful week.
