If you're a guy and you're worried about hair loss then you need to read this!

Date published: Sunday 1st of May 2016

I want to talk about some things here which are very personal and not entirely easy for me to talk about. I'm also going to upload a photo of me which is a TOTAL HORROR STORY. Seriously. This is some heavy stuff, but I think that this information is important especially if you're a guy and you're worried about hair loss.

My message is pretty simple. You need to stop worrying. If you're losing your hair or even if you're completely bald then I'm on a mission of mercy.

I want to tell you that you look much better than you think you look. The truth is, nobody really cares about guys being bald. There's plenty of baldy guys out there who look absolutely amazing and who have enjoyed huge levels of success in every field imaginable.

If you are worried about hair loss then I want to tell you about what happened to me, so that you NEVER make the same stupid mistakes that I have made.

Personally speaking, I started losing my hair around the age of 28. Before then, I played guitar in a rock band and I had long 'Skywalker blonde' hair. I was a textbook rock n roller. I even wore a leather bikers' jacket, flares and white platform shoes.

At around the age of 28 my hair started to fall out quite quickly and it bugged the hell out of me. However, I tried to ignore the problem until one day I was stopped at a set of traffic lights. Suddenly a car full out rowdy football thug types pulled up beside me at the lights. They all started shouting and laughing. I glanced over and one of them was hanging out of the passenger window, pointing to his head and shouting 'baldy'.

I was so angry that I can barely put it into words.

Immediately, I switched to fight mode and I was like, "What are you saying?"

At that one of them shouted, "we were just saying your tyres are baldly", and with that and some more laughs they sped away.

Around about this time of my life, I had also recently been dumped after what had been a decade old relationship. My self-esteem was at an all-time low.

I knew about existentialism and I always had this belief that we all have the power to basically shape ourselves into anything we want. So, I made a decision to find the best hair transplant surgeon in the world. I didn't care what the costs were, I was determined to beat hair loss. So, I did some research online and eventually found the best (i.e., most expensive!) hair transplant expert in the world. This was in 2008 and it turns out that this expert surgeon was in Canada. So, without counting the costs I flew over to Canada and got 'done'.

For about a year or two, the results were - I'd say - moderately successful. I never managed to get a full head of hair back, but there was certainly no way anybody out there was ever going to call me 'baldy' again. So, overall I was reasonably happy.

But there was a problem.

One of the things that I had to do, post op' was commit to taking some very expensive and potentially dangerous 'keep-your-hair' drugs, for life. Did you hear that? I'm saying for the rest of my life. This, unfortunately, was at odds with my belief that drugs are best to be avoided unless it's absolutely necessarily. So, I took these drugs for one month (yip - just one month) and then figured, "Sod it. I'm going to be natural." So, to this day I take no drugs at all.

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's the effect of not taking the drugs or what but over the eight years since the hair transplant, I can see that a lot of hair has started to fall out again. I'm quickly heading back to square one. What's worst of all is that I have TERRIBLE Frankenstein scars along the sides and the back of my head. This scaring is so bad that I think it's cutting off blood supplies to the side of my head. So, quite uniquely, I actually have bald patches on the sides of my head. It's a problem that I've been successfully hiding over the years but trying to keep my hair reasonably long. Lately, it has became increasingly difficult to hide these problems.

In any event, a few days ago I drifted into a really cheap and crappy barbershop. I've discussed my reasons for doing this on the discussion forum and I won't repeat the details here. Long story short - it has been a TOTAL BOTCH JOB.

So, right now my head is in such an awful state that if I went outside without a hat then I'd probably stop traffic. I don't even think my own family could handle seeing the state that I'm in right now and - as I said on the forum - if I was not so emotionally strong then I'd probably be crying.

But let me talk about something important. Let me talk about YOU.

I want to say, if you are worried about hair loss or you're totally bald then you need to STOP WORRYING AND EMBRACE YOUR BALDNESS.

Now, one of the things that freaked me out about losing my hair was that it signified getting old, or at least the end of youth. I must confess, all these years later I still think that's the case. After all, it's very difficult to be bald and to look like a teenager. So, here's the bad news for all you baldies - you probably don't look like teenagers any more.

But hang on a minute! Since when was being a teenager or even being some dude in his early 20s such a good thing? All of the glorious male role models that I can think of are over 40 and they are all super cool. Jame Bond? He's over 40. Harvey Specter? Him too! All of the cool characters from Breaking Bad were over 40. Oh, let's not forget The Equalizer. I was watching it just the other night. He was well over 40. Now, you might say they're all fictictious characters - but it doesn't matter because in my mind they are all positive male characters who happen to be well over 40.

Being young and looking young is TOTALLY over-rated.

Let me tell you what I've learned about being attractive - and this is a law that applies to both men and women:

There is nothing more attractive than a person who is comfortable in their own skin.

Right now I want to challenge you to embrace the hand that you've been dealt! I don't care if you're bald, you're short, you have a big nose, bad skin or all of the above. I don't care if you're white or black or purple. I guarantee, whatever affliction you may think you have, it's not that bad. Why not embrace it? Why not celebrate it? There is almost certainly somebody out there who already thinks that you look fabulous. However, if you do as I'm saying and really embrace yourself - as you are - then it will be like turning on a switch. You have the power to become the most attractive and radiant person in your whole neighbourhood. It starts with a thought.

One of the Insider techniques that I discovered around 2010 was a thing which I call 'morph technologies'. Now, I can't talk about it in detail right now because this will turn into a 20,000 word article and everyone will think I'm crazy. However, the essence of the vibe is that how you look is just a visual translation of your vibrational energy. I can actually teach you how to alter your vibrational energy so that other people literally see you differently. In the past I have successfully used morph technologies to alter my appearance so that when I walk into a room, people don't see David - they see Superman. Seriously. I have information about this kind of thing which is absolutely mind blowing.

In any case, the key takeaway is this - if you're worried about losing your hair or anything at all that's to do with not looking 'perfect', then here's what you need to do:

* Find positive role models who have the same physical challenge as you.

* Focus on those role models. That means thinking about how awesome it must feel to be like them. Really feel the feelings and feel how good that is.

* Embrace your baldness (or whatever!). Look in the mirror and learn to love and embrace the hand that you have been dealt.

* Keep reminding yourself about all of the great things that you have achieved to get to this point in life.

* Don't romanticise the past! Instead of looking back, think about the fabulous future that you are creating right now.

* Find role models who have physical challenges which are much more severe than yours. Again, feel the feelings. Imagine yourself being in their shoes and feel the power flowing through you, as you take that trip.

Unfortunately, nobody gave me this advice. Right now I don't have the option of shaving my head or even having my hair cut short. I'm not angry or sad. It's a challenge that I have to deal with and instead of getting depressed I've decided to embrace this challenge and to use my story to inspire others to learn from my mistakes. So please, all you baldy guys, take my advice. I am the guy who got the hair transplant. I am the guy who responded to advert with the amazing before and after photos. I am the guy who spent the money, travelled half way around the world and went under the knife in search of something that was in my mind all along.

You don't need to go down the same road that I went down.

Empower yourself! Embrace who you are, find those positive role models and keep on moving forward. You don't need a hair transplant. You're already amazing. I believe in you!

Oh, and for those of you who think that you look bad, here's what I have to deal with.

Peace, love and vegetables.
