Why You Should Say No To Deodorant And Yes To Early Morning Showers

Date published: Saturday 27th of February 2016

Skin cancer rates are going through the roof, as are other types kinds of cancers. Within the last six months, three people whom I know have been diagnosed with skin cancer - one of them (a good friend of Derek's who was in his 30s) sadly died.

There are lots of misconceptions about cancer and I before I head off to the mountains for a few days, I want to quickly give you the inside scoop on some information that you need to know.

To begin with, the sun doesn't give you skin cancer. Industrial chemicals do.

The evidence for this is remarkably simple. Over at the equator, there are tribes of people who live their days out in the sunshine, within their bare skin exposed to the baking sun for many hours per day. However, skin cancer rates in that part of the world are close to zero. Now, some of you might be thinking, "well that's because they're black and people with dark skin don't get skin cancer.". That is a misconception. In areas of North America like Detroit and Seattle, skin cancer rates are increasing among black people. Of course, the people from those areas certainly aren't exposing their skin to excessive amounts of sunlight. So, what's going on?

It's deodorant.

My recommendation is to avoid wearing deodorant. Personally speaking, I don't wear deodorant except in very rare circumstances (for example, if I'm going to be spending my day in a stuffy office boardroom). Now, if you think that not wearing deodorant is unhygienic then you couldn't be more wrong.

Using deodorant doesn't make you clean. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even do a good job of making you smell nice! Remember, the primary purpose of deodorant is to remove unpleasant bodily smells by masking them with an artificial, chemically induced smell. There's nothing clean about that and there's certainly nothing healthy about that. Many deodorants are proudly advertised as being "antiperspirant". These products are designed to prevent sweating by blocking sweat glands with poisonous, aluminium based products. Within the next five years, the mainstream media is going to be forced to publish the truth with is that use deodorant causes cancer - particularly skin cancer and breast cancer.

Remember folks, nature is perfect. Your body is perfect. If your body has a need to sweat then there's nothing wrong with that, there's nothing unnatural about that and there's nothing unhygienic about that. As a matter of fact, sweat does not smell. The odours that are brought on by sweating come from bacteria which take three days to form.

As long as you wash yourself every day then the bacteria that creates an unpleasant smell won't have an opportunity to grow and you'll be fine. That's a fact. So, now that you know what not to do, let's talk about something positive that can have a hugely beneficial effect on your life. The early morning shower.

My insider tip for you is this: get a shower every single morning. This is a very simple ritual that can have an enormously dramatic impact on your overall vibrational levels. Now, some of you will be reading this and thinking, "well, I already do that." If you're in that category then congratulations - you may stop reading.

However, I know that some of you are very fanatical about your work. I know that some of you are inclined to stay up, skip meals and generally treat matters to do with personal hygiene as being not particularly important. I'm telling you now that if you're in that category then you need to make a change. This actually is more to do with raising vibrational levels than cleanliness. Be honest with yourself. Do you get a shower every single morning? Take my advice. Try it. I guarantee that you'll feel more energised and more positive. You'll also be more productive and creative. I guarantee you will absolutely never regret having taken a shower in the morning. Of course, you'll never have to worry about body odour as well.

I realise that what I'm talking about here seems kind of simple and please forgive me if it's even patronising. Things like having a shower in the morning are part of 'the basics', as far as life goes. However, I know that lots of people are neglecting the basics (yes - I can tell) and this is something that you need to get right.

So, will you try this experiment for just two weeks? I'm challenging you to ditch the deodorant but get a shower every single morning. I don't care if you think you're clean or unclean. Try this for two weeks and just wait and see what happens to your productivity, your overall mood and your creativity. Don't be surprised if some great opportunity also suddenly appears in your life.

I'm David Connelly and you have just been given The Inside Scoop. I'm off to the mountains.

Peace, love and vegetables.
